The Colonial Company is the parent company of several construction companies including Lowder New Homes. Founded in 1956, In conjunction with Lowder Construction Company, Lowder New Homes repeatedly ranks as one of the nation’s largest homebuilders by numerous national trade publications. Lowder New Homes produces in excess of 200 detached single-family homes annually, including home styles ranging from custom-built executive estates to garden homes.
For years, they used a product called Invoice Router and ApplicationXtender by OpenText to manage the AP process. Although they had some routing capabilities, they never automated the process and still relied on paper invoices and manual approvals by project managers before making payments.
With approximately 5,000 invoices coming in each month this caused a lot of printing, shuffling papers and manual data entry.
